Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Valley of Fire State Park, about 65 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, is famous for its wildly striped and colorful rock formations. The "fire" in its name is not because the rock and formations were created volcanically but rather that the Aztec Sandstone -- fossilized sand dunes -- can look like it's "on fire" when the light is just right. When I took this photograph in February 2019 the overall look reminded me of a painting by Vincent Van Gogh. I took this using the Canon 7D MK II and 17-55 f/2.8 IS lens.

The "great outdoors" has always been an important part of my life, even though I was born, raised and have a mailing address in Los Angeles' busy port town of San Pedro. I've hiked the country lanes and paths of Great Britain, bike toured thorough Europe for 6 months, backpacked in the Sierra Nevada, and "truck camped" around the western US for weeks at a time, taking in the scenery and places of solitude. I worked at a Kaiser hospital for 34 years, then retired in 2013 at age 56 and hit the road, living in my travel trailer; I’ve been on the road now since June 2013 and plan to keep on living with no fixed address for at least another 2 years.
