Artist's Description

Viewing The Northern Lights is something everyone should experience. I was camped along Alaska's Denali Highway; the light show lasted from 11:30pm until 2:30am and this photo, taken towards the end, shows a spiral wheel over Twin Lakes, my camping spot along the Denali Hwy. I say "spiral wheel" because it was actually slowly revolving. I used the Canon 7D MK I and 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM lens and the camera exif is Bulb shooting mode, ISO 1600, an aperure of f/4.5 and shutter speed of 4.5 seconds, and a 17mm focal length. I shot in RAW and with a tripod.

I spend most of the daylight hours hiking and photographing with either the Canon 40D DSLR and...
