The desert bighorn sheep is Nevada's state animal and the largest animal that lives in the deserts of North America. The desert bighorn sheep is unique among other species of bighorn sheep in that desert bighorn can go for extended periods of time without drinking water. This was taken in Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park using the Canon 7D DSLR and Canon EF 100-400 f4.5-5.6 L IS USM lens. The camera exif is ISO 400, f/8 @ 1/200 sec.
