Artist's Description
It's been said the odds are one in three that visitors to interior Alaska will see Denali. But when it's "out", it can be seen from Anchorage or Fairbanks. When I visited Alaska in late August/September 2016, Denali was out for nearly two weeks straight. Here's the mountain as seen from a pullout along the road into Denali National Park; you can see one of the green tour buses on the road, kicking up a plume of dust behind it. About Steve Wolfe
The "great outdoors" has always been an important part of my life, even though I was born, raised and have a mailing address in Los Angeles' busy port town of San Pedro. I spend most of the daylight hours hiking and photographing with either the Canon 40D DSLR and...

Thanks Ben! And I think the green Park bus with the dust plume behind it adds interest to the scene, too. One of the things that impressed me the most about The Far North is the immense scale. Nothing compares to it in the lower 48.

Love how the road snakes its way toward the Big One!! Some sense of scale maybe, but I have to get there soon!
