The photo was taken on October 12, 2013 at Lundy Canyon, during the peak of the fall colors there. An early-season snowstorm the week before dusted the landscape, and clouds whipped by wind in the upper atmosphere added drama. Aspen were burnished a bright orange -- past-peak colors, yet gorgeous.The mountain in the center is Gilcrest Peak. The camera used was the Canon 40D and lens the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS. Camera exif is 17mm, ISO 200, f/9 @ 1/100 sec.
The "great outdoors" has always been an important part of my life, even though I was born, raised and have a mailing address in Los Angeles' busy port town of San Pedro.
